I have chosen to review Jacob's, Jessica's and Tenecia's, all three of whom were doing placements abroad.

I was very interested in Jacob's blog. He had the language barrier to overcome and also had obstacles in the course by not getting the course he wanted. Plenty would have given up but Jacob showed great determination to push forward. I was very happy to see that his determination continued into second year. There were still cultural struggles he faced like adapting to the foreign work culture. He also faced the outbreak of COVID-19, as Lombardia was the epicentre. Jacob showed determination to persevere despite many difficulties. Adaptability in unforeseen circumstances is key for future career endeavours.

Jessica went to China & Spain which interested me greatly. She titled a blog: 'You can try to prepare but you'll never be prepared' which is absolutely correct. I like how she mentioned learning points from the obstacles in her blog posts. A highlight I was drawn to was the smile her boss gave when she completed her first video showcasing that anyone can be great in any place. What stood out for me was her adventurousness by going to China & Spain. She grasped the chance to work and learn in different cultures and excelled brilliantly!

Tenecia, based in Germany had intriguing topics to speak of. A flatmate wouldn't clean up after himself due to traditional beliefs of domestic roles associated with women. She showed how an equal share of roles is importance. Standing up for equality was an inspiring read. I credit her honesty with the role itself. Working in an international environment can make communication difficult. Frustratingly, projects became more of a chore. If an experience disappoints then honesty is necessary. It's still clear that there were great efforts in her work and living situation. She has shown fantastic work ethic and stands up passionately for what's right!

Each of the blogs has inspirational elements I have learned from. Determination no matter what from Jacob, limitless adventurousness from Jessica & great work ethic and passion from Tenecia!
