New Projects & Greater Responsibility

Within a month and a half I have grown to become more comfortable with the internship, taking on greater responsibilities and longer projects. I have gone from simple design tasks for campaigns already in motion to managing social media pages, developing strategies for new campaigns and large design tasks.


In regards to collaboration with Alteredu's current partners, I have been given the responsibility to help run Preziosità's new Instagram page which was helped launched by Alteredu. My role is to populate the page with recent updates from the Facebook page, check the analytics of the account and make the profile look as appealing as possible. It's only just been recently created so not too many posts have been uploaded so far but updates will continue throughout my internship.


I am in the process of a major marketing project for a local Calabrese dairy company called: 'Caseificio Presila'(http://www.caseificiopresila.com/homepage/). The company already offer services online for their dairy products, however they are in need of a marketing boost to present themselves better in the region of Calabria. It is up to me and other members in the Alteredu team to develop a good advertising strategy to generate a greater flow of customers. Before any strategy can be developed, research must first commence and the research began with finding relevant competitors.


As a starting point, the competitors should be based within the region of Calabria as advertising in the local region will likely be the starting point of the marketing project. Most of the competitors I have managed to record so far have cheeses as their primary choice for dairy products, similar to Caseificio Presila. It was interesting to discover various additional features the online platforms included for various reasons, be it: expansive social media network, mobile applications, an online shop and how many expanded outside of Calabria.


The next phase will be to research a wide variety of advertising strategies used for new Italian companies, particularly companies that sell consumables. With sufficient research, it will allow our team to analyse effective new strategies that could help Caseificio Presila stand out from the other competitors. It is the biggest project I have been entrusted with since the mass re-design of just under 200 Alteredu course posters (all of which have been approved). It will be a good challenge to see how my abilities and experience can be put into a new industrial project.
