It's been over a month since the new marketing strategy was put in place by our digital marketing team and there has been significant progress since. Big projects have been completed and website traffic is showing positive figures!
We received an email showcasing the analytics for web traffic in specific areas and we could see a significant increase in viewing numbers. I cannot unveil the exact figures but the main features of the website to draw attention to were the 'Careers' page and the original articles of the 'Blog' page. Out of the pages showing they showcased the most website traffic increase so the social media strategy of extra sharing we implemented was working. We even received contact from local news firms who wish to re-post some of our recent original articles onto their website, in turn increasing web traffic and gaining a business partner.
As for 'The Dogs of Amsterdam' video project, it has been fully filmed and edited using the Adobe creative suite. The video is a nice showcase of the local green spaces in Amsterdam and captures good footage of the city of Amsterdam itself. With the subtitles, it is easy for people to follow along and understand what is being shown on screen at the time. It is the first major video project Bookingpetz has ever launched and I happy to have played many crucial roles in this including: filming, editing, effect addition and the upload onto YouTube
It is exciting being part of the main foundations of the company's growth. The main platform is still to launch and will still be under development by the time I depart from Bookingpetz so I will keep a watchful eye. What the company does have already is a foundation of views and followers so Bookingpetz will still be recognised on search engines and by people when the online platform eventually launches. I am pleased I managed to utilise my surroundings for the sake of the projects as Amsterdam is an amazing city to be in.
For me personally, the best part about the projects was able to combine unique talents by working with truly amazing interns. It helped boost each of our work portfolios (individual websites & LinkedIn) as we could see first-hand what skills they were able to put to the table. Going back to England with my portfolios with more views and my LinkedIn with more contacts will showcase progress in my career as I look to pursue more digital opportunities!
