With new interns coming in and a real potential to growth the traffic of the Bookingpetz our new digital marketing team had to conceptualise new methods in promoting the company. We received very keen blog writers and a passionate photographer as part of our team, meaning new talent and more ideas to contribute.
Whilst we had plenty of good material we could create, the promotional strategy could be more extensive so our team agreed to utilise our current social media pages further share new articles and specific intern roles, mostly using: Facebook, LinkedIn & Instagram for our extensive promotion. We opted also for more regular posting in accordance to SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) to showcase high activity and to make posts better suited to be found via web browsing, as it is the most common usage of searching through the internet. We would monitor this by utilising various analytics features of our social media pages and setting up one for our website using Google Webmaster.
The main key we agreed on for increased web traffic was to focus mainly on Instagram where we would update followers on project progress, make short promotional clips of our company using Adobe software and make posts showcasing the amazing features of the city. We were aware that the main target was increased traffic on the website, so we ensured on posts that we provided links to the website followers old and new can find out more about Bookingpetz.

When people visit the website, we need them to be as invested as possible so we opted to make our homepage more interactive by adding a quick video and feature more of our posts to promote our article writing. It will give an interesting first impression and encourage visitors to explore more of the website and individual posts. In our blog section, we would be sure to feature more recent articles rather than articles published back in mid 2019 to showcase not only more relevant content but also to increase web traffic on other articles.


In regards to the big ongoing project: 'The Dogs of Amsterdam' we thought about ways additions to the structure of the video. I have already made progress in filming the parks but as an addition we could link the main city itself as part of the video. As it is a promotional video for environments best suited for dogs then parks should be the priority but value to the video will still be added if we included clips of the city as well. With a new experienced photography intern joining our digital marketing team we were adding crucial experience necessary to get the best out of our media posts.

By the end of the internship, 'The Dogs of Amsterdam' should be completed to a good standard and hopefully with the analytics feature we can see if our posts are receiving enough traffic and that it is leading to an overall rise in popularity for Bookingpetz.
